[Earlier, when looking through his father’s book for the first time in several months, Shikamaru found some pictures he’d never seen before being used as bookmarks. It was… nostalgic, to say the least.

He finds another bookmark to replace them; puts the photos in a drawer to look at later. Because haha, he knows how this works, right? He leaves them out, and somehow his journal accidentally records it. Yeah. Hell no. He’s smarter than that and doesn’t leave his journal anywhere near them. On top of that, he takes it with him when he leaves to assist with a chakra training lesson. Crisis averted!

Guess what he sees when he opens up his journal two hours later.



Where’s the nearest wall. He needs to beat his head softly against it while he attempts to figure out how this happened. Feel free to action it up when he’s back at CH1 too, if you like.]

It's true, that he hasn't caused much trouble on his own here. But members of the terrorist group he was affiliated with, the Akatsuki, are beginning to show up now.

The first time I encountered a group, they slaughtered a temple full of monks. The last time, my village was reduced to a large crater.

Those events were within six months of each other, and that's just what's happened in my country. Same thing almost happened in Suna. No one in the world has gone unaffected by their actions.

[He waves a hand at the journal, dismissing the comment about the laugh as if it's already forgiven.]

World domination, cliche as that sounds. But I get the impression most of Akatsuki's members are just there for the ride. It's an excuse for causing mayhem.

Why're there so many people who think that's a good idea?

Fed too much bullshit as kids, I guess.

Maybe you can. One of those missions is about going through stuff from other worlds, right? Just see if it can be your world you hear about.
