[It is on the fourth day of the experiment that Shikamaru leaves his apartment. Free of those stupid thought bubbles, this should've been a good thing. But as he walked, it felt like he was being drawn to something. A weird breeze picked up. The sky literally became overcast. Ominous shit, man. 8|

It's only when he walked past a tree that he saw it. His old foe thought long gone when he defenestrated it months ago.]

[For these four days of the experiment, around the village there is a ~~toaster~~ ~magic lamp~ waiting to be found. In that tree! On that bench! On top of that fountain! How did it get in all these weird places? NO IDEA. But pick it up, and BAM. SMOKE ~~PELLETS~~, and you suddenly have your very own genie (barefoot, with an outfit something like this). Careful what you wish for.]

Can we make this quick?

[[ ooc: So Shikamaru's fairy-taled into a genie again! You get three (3) wishes, and he will be 'granting' them as literally as possible.

As per the guidelines of the old fairy-tale event: nothing wished for is actually real. It will look like it is! But your character is either interacting with something imaginary or a mundane object: like thinking they picked up a magic lamp when it's really a toaster. Wish to be a sorcerer? While effected it's like COOL YOU HAVE MAGIC POWERS. Only not really, you were just pointing at things.

[Well, Neji's not a cat anymore! Being human again is a relief. Except now he's a lady. Or looks like one, at least -- he's still very much he on the inside.

And now that he's human again, there's always training to lighten his mood. He's on the way in from it, still irked by the altered balance of hips and bust, but at least properly exercised. And then there's the... wait, what is that? His eyes want to say magic lamp, but something doesn't seem right about it. Still, even the Byakugan doesn't show him an illusion, so he shrugs. Luceti is strange.

And picks it up.]

[Unfortunately, he's wearing white like usual. Not his usual clothing, which... doesn't quite fit right now, but still very much along the same lines. So white.

At least it's already sweaty from working out? Not that he cares at the moent, because magic smoke. Oh my.

He'd activate the Byakugan, but it seems to be clearing off decently fast. So he just waves it away and waits to see what comes out. A little on edge, yes, because smoke can mean bad things, but this is magic smoke, so it should be harmless, right?]

[Of course! It was just ~~a cover so he could sneak out of his hiding spot~~ the lamp opening! And once the smoke clears...!

You get the most exasperated sounding genie ever. This is so stupid, but it's too troublesome trying to fight the experiment, so he's rolling with it.]

Right, "Genie of the Lamp" here, you get- [What sounds like a line reading is cut short when he sees the eyes of his new 'master'] You're a Hyuuga?

[HOLY SHIT MAGIC. Wow, that actually worked. Awesome. Now what? Does genie come out? Maybe chocolate?

[ A man has to wonder how lamps wind up skulking in doorways, waiting to trip up unsuspecting detective inspectors. And Lestrade will wonder this, only probably after it coughs out a sudden smoke cloud and nearly gives him a damn heart attack in the process.

This is the last time he picks something up to keep it out of everyone's way, man. ]

[The lamp at the fountain catches Aang's attention as he passes through. He picks it up, wondering what kind of lost and found this place has. And is it dirty in some way? Aang gives it a quick rub with his robes.]

Shows what you know. Lotta downtime in between waiting for people to pick up the lamp. I think I've figured out a good chunk of it by now.

[...doorways are tricky, when you're on the opposite side of them. You're kinda standing in between him and his dramatic reveal, Lestrade. He could use his jutsu- oh screw it, too much effort.

[Turns out to be a delayed reaction. Right when Aang airbends, the lamp opens, blowing all the smoke towards the fountain (and anyone who might be sitting there)!]
