024 -- [Action]
[It is on the fourth day of the experiment that Shikamaru leaves his apartment. Free of those stupid thought bubbles, this should've been a good thing. But as he walked, it felt like he was being drawn to something. A weird breeze picked up. The sky literally became overcast. Ominous shit, man. 8|
It's only when he walked past a tree that he saw it. His old foe thought long gone when he defenestrated it months ago.]
Oh, not this again-
-
May 27 - June 1
[For these four days of the experiment, around the village there is atoaster ~magic lamp~ waiting to be found. In that tree! On that bench! On top of that fountain! How did it get in all these weird places? NO IDEA. But pick it up, and BAM. SMOKE PELLETS, and you suddenly have your very own genie (barefoot, with an outfit something like this). Careful what you wish for.]
Can we make this quick?
[[ ooc: So Shikamaru's fairy-taled into a genie again! You get three (3) wishes, and he will be 'granting' them as literally as possible.
As per the guidelines of the old fairy-tale event: nothing wished for is actually real. It will look like it is! But your character is either interacting with something imaginary or a mundane object: like thinking they picked up a magic lamp when it's really a toaster. Wish to be a sorcerer? While effected it's like COOL YOU HAVE MAGIC POWERS. Only not really, you were just pointing at things.
TL;DR: it's one giant game of pretend. Have fun. 8|b ]]

He'll wait for the goddamn smoke to clear. Talk about your special effects.]
action;
Three wishes, get on with it.
action;
Wait.]
...New occupation, Shiko? I've got to admit, I didn't see this one coming. You do know this isn't what engineering is, right?
action;
This should be good.]
Shows what you know. Lotta downtime in between waiting for people to pick up the lamp. I think I've figured out a good chunk of it by now.

action;
[Come on, you're the genie. Get it together.]
action;
So you're down to [Fingers up. Count 'em!] two.
action;
Oh, so that's how this is going to be? You're going to take everything I wish for and look for any possible way to grant it wrong? Uncool, Shiko. Uncool.
[He lifts a finger.] Maybe--just maybe. I won't make any more wishes, and you just have to follow me around. As your master. How does that sound?
action;
Wow, Tony. That'd be kinda cool, actually. I have all these notes on engineering. I have to follow you around no matter what until your wishes are up, but if you're giving me a break like that... [Hm, let's see, doing the math in his head.] There's enough to eat up three, four hours.
action;
Great, because, you know? I could use a hand with a few things. You can be my personal assistant. Sounds great.
action;
[NO IT DOESN'T. But he sure sounds chill and enthusiastic about it.]
action;
Peachy. Let's go, then.
[And he sets off towards his house again.]
So--any other rules you're keeping from me? That's not very nice, you know. Seeing as how I'm your master, and all, you should have told me all the rules from the beginning.
action;
You should've read the fine print. Rules are right on the lamp.
[Towards the bottom. In itty-bitty lettering that might have once been toaster dents.
But should he look and actually be able to read them, there are four rules there.
1. The genie cannot take you outside of Luceti
2. The genie cannot change affairs of the heart
3. The genie cannot kill
4. The genie cannot raise from the dead.]
action;
Oh--so you can't do anything the Malnosso can. Good. That's really helpful. In case you weren't listening--that's sarcasm.

action;
[He snaps his fingers. Behold one fairly large, chocolate chip cookie.]
And now you're down to one.
action;
First of all, I never said I wished for one. Just that I wanted one. Second of all--I have a thousand and one left. Keep it straight, Shiko. You're not very good at this.
action;
There's no loophole to get you those thousand wishes, by the way, so don't bother.
[See, he is nice enough to warn you this time, before you waste your last wish.]
action;
[He'd make a case for wishing and wanting being two different things, but he has a feeling that isn't going to go anywhere, either.]
action;
[He spreads his hands out, like he won't stop you.]

[Built his first suit in a cave with a box of scraps, and all.]
