Anyways. I'm back. [Technically has been for two days albeit not in town, so he'll make it official.] Anything interesting hap- [His disinterested tone gives way to irritation as he turns his attention to something off-screen.] Oi that's not for you-

[The journal snaps shut with a sigh. He never finishes speaking, but about an hour later the post is transcribed... minus the interruption, and now with complete sentences.

If you're out today now that the heavy rain of the few days is finally letting up, you might spot Shikamaru coming back into the village from the North... closely followed by a deer much larger than Luceti's usual fare ((think five feet at the shoulders, six at the head, and eight feet with antlers)). The stag seems pretty content to follow him around - even into town or just standing around when he sits - despite sticking to the tree-lined paths when he can. Shikamaru talks to him sometimes.

Yes, talks, shut up.]

[Azusa, for the most part, doesn't even know what she's doing. Such a handsome deer! That's all she thinks. But she stops when the deer does, still keeping her distance. This is exactly how she gets lost. She just follows things until she doesn't know where she is anymore.

[The stag is curious, and is going to circle back around with his head held hide, still keeping his distance. While he explores, Shikamaru waves to Azusa.] Yo. Catching toads?

[She snaps out of it. All of a sudden, she notices Shikamaru, too. When did he get there? She'll walk closer.]

Shikamaru-kun...! How long have you been standing there? I didn't even see you.

...aa, I didn't mean it like that. [He rubs the back of his head. And okay, turning back to town again. COME ALONG, BAMBI.] I have been out of the village for some time, but I've been back two days now. It's nothing big.

Were you on a mission, or...? [The silence is pretty self-explanatory. She'd prefer you not to be mallynapped.] It's been a pretty slow month, actually...maybe I'm not the best person to ask. Ah, I did find a neat book on fortune telling, though...
