Anyways. I'm back. [Technically has been for two days albeit not in town, so he'll make it official.] Anything interesting hap- [His disinterested tone gives way to irritation as he turns his attention to something off-screen.] Oi that's not for you-

[The journal snaps shut with a sigh. He never finishes speaking, but about an hour later the post is transcribed... minus the interruption, and now with complete sentences.

If you're out today now that the heavy rain of the few days is finally letting up, you might spot Shikamaru coming back into the village from the North... closely followed by a deer much larger than Luceti's usual fare ((think five feet at the shoulders, six at the head, and eight feet with antlers)). The stag seems pretty content to follow him around - even into town or just standing around when he sits - despite sticking to the tree-lined paths when he can. Shikamaru talks to him sometimes.

Yes, talks, shut up.]

That mean the General started out as a member of the Organization, or what?

I don't think he was. Just that he was... around when it started. I'm not sure it was entirely reliable. I mean, the hero? He acted a lot like Luffy does sometimes.

They never gave names to anyone. It sort of made the story hard to follow.

[He scratches at his chin.] For the audience to follow and tell the difference, the characters had to have defining characteristics. Tell me those, if you could.

There was a scientist and his skin was red. He was obviously supposed to be John. Then there was the hero. Spiky hair, carried a sword, wanted to help everyone. And then some woman in love with the General. I don't know who she was supposed to be.

[Spiky-haired swordsman? That could be a handful of people in Luceti, for all that narrows things down. He files it away regardless.

This woman, though...]

What was her appearance like?

Well. Since uh, it was Vivi in a wig, that was her appearance. She dressed nice and had to wear a blonde wig.

No props or anything, huh.

We improvised, really. The show wasn't about authenticity, but about... message. I mean, they had Professor Raine as the hero. If you can believe that.

Having a woman play the role of a man isn't unusual in plays. Usually theater will give the characters things to make them recognizable to the audience, however. Wings, distinct facial markings... famous weapons. That was the sort of thing I was considering.

Well you're asking the wrong person for that. Vivi was the one in the costume, not me. I caught most of it from the sidelines.

Fair enough. [He can ask Ino, too. The way he understands it she was a designer for that.] Anything else to it?

Well they killed the General at the end of it. So that's four confirmed kills, so far.

[From Buffy, the Commandant, Davis, and 'The Hero'. Of course, he's well aware of how the Commandant did it several times. And that there's likely been more besides.]

This is only the third one I've heard of.

Well Buffy killed him. The Commandant killed him on the Moon. And I heard that soldier guy managed to kill him too.

The Specialist? Or do you mean some nameless mook.

Yeah. That guy. David or whatever his name is.

[Now he can't remember. He never actually spoke to Davis himself. Not yet.]

I'll see what clarification I can get on that. Either way, it's at least three in the running total.

He can't eavesdrop on non-journal conversations!!

I'm going to guess, with how long he's been around, that it's a lot more than that.

He could if he bugged everyone with little boomerang transmitters!!

That's the hope. It spells trouble for everyone if it's not.

[If anyone from Luceti runs into him again, which they might. If the time Buffy killed him was a lucky break, and he's that much harder to defeat.]

Except he apparently just gets stronger. It makes me wonder if... killing him actually helps.
