[Shikamaru's a hard man to find after this (on-going) thread.

He doesn't return to his apartment until the next morning, through the spare bedroom and not the front door. It's doubtful anyone else will catch him outside of his own floor for the next several days, though he always has his journal on him.

Those days are also partially spent tracking down Tony Stark, Law, Itachi, Gold, Silver, and a few others in his building to warn them about Hidan. Masaomi will no doubt hear from him when he gets back, and Riku may have learned what he needs to know from Ino before Shikamaru gets to him, but they're both on the list. He'll also be visiting the Avatar house for a few people in particular, but given that's half the house he won't be shunning anyone else he runs into there.]

[Shikamaru will be sitting outside the building somewhere. Just walk the perimeter and you'll find him.]

[tsuntrader]

[That's the first thing he does. Sneasel walks alongside him as usual, and soon enough, the two of them find Shikamaru.

But neither of them say anything. They simply keep quiet and look at him. He'll probably head elsewhere before explaining things. If not, they're not about to stop him from speaking right away.

[Another good deduction. Without a word, Shikamaru stands and heads for the forest, indicating Silver should follow. There. Less public. They can sit in this tree here too.]

[tsuntrader]

[Alright. He and Sneasel climb right up and get relatively comfortable.]

What happened?

I'm here to warn you about a man who showed up from my world. He's occupied for now, but he'll be stirring up things before long.

What can he do? ...What did he do?

He was a criminal, and a member of a terrorist group known as the Akatsuki. They've done many things as a group and before joining.

Hidan himself kills in the name of his religion. After he tastes someone's blood, they become his target.

[tsuntrader]

[...Well, go on. That barely tells him anything about what he's capable of.]

[He sighs, and works the back of his neck with one hand until he can pop it.]

It's part of his ritual. Ingesting the blood links his body to his victim's. Any damage he inflicts upon himself also effects the other person. But he's an immortal. He can mutilate himself without a care, and it will only kill the other guy.

[tsuntrader]

[...Well that sounds fun. So all it takes is a little bit of blood and bam, it's over.]

What are you planning to do about him?

Many things.

Alone? [Has he ever seen that look on Shikamaru's face before?...]

Probably.

[tsuntrader]

[...It's not something he wants to do alone. It's something he needs to, isn't it?]

[For all of the things he has to explain to Silver sometimes, he's grateful for just what sorts of things he doesn't.]

Sure thing. [He raises his chin and grins.] I'm not gonna die over this.

[tsuntrader]

[Nod. Yeah, you better not. He's wholeheartedly believing that.]

[endgames]

[Of course not. It's very much all he's promising, though. Which is good, given where he'll be in about two weeks from now.]

I'll show you what he looks like, so you know who to avoid... [Grin fading, where's that entry... oh here we go.]

[tsuntrader]

I heard some of it already. [No need to show him.]

[endgames]

Oh.

[Well good then. He closes the book.]

Just continue to avoid him like that. Let me know if he stirs something up, and I'll handle it.

[tsuntrader]

[...] I won't get involved, but if you need anything, just ask.

[He nods.]

If I can think of something, I'll tell you. Fair warning that it won't be anything big.

As long as you know. [He gets it. He gets it. And he's not going to pry into Shikamaru's business.

...Of course, if he gets himself killed or his own family gets dragged into it, all bets are off, but. Faith in Shikamaru. He knows he's capable and that's that.]
