endgames | 035 -- [action

[It's an antsy day, in an antsy week. Every time he gets back from a mission, lately, it feels like that. He's had a project in the mountains the last several days, and with the news from CJ last night, Shikamaru can think of a lot of other things he'd rather be doing. But with Korra on a mission, he'd feel bad for ducking out of work. At least he wasn't here for the experiment, or worse: his birthday.

So he can be found at the convenience store until late afternoon, messing around with a digital camera. He got it last December as a Christmas present from Precis, but he actually hasn't practiced with it any until now. Sorry if you are SUDDENLY BLINDED by the flash feature he didn't know was there, he didn't mean it.

Unless you're Naruto or Masaomi. If you're Naruto or Masaomi, he's doing it on purpose because he's an ass and this is what true friendship is built on.

Later in the day, before work gets out, he'll crack open his journal to make a post. He's been thinking about this for the last week, reading up and practicing how to make asphalt. It's not as difficult as he would've though, and he thinks he has it down now.]

Hey, Luceti. It's kind of late in the year for it, but the weather's been dry enough... So let's pave the roads. Anyone up for it?

Come to the following coordinates at 1900 hours. Uzumaki Naruto is going to test the barrier, and he may need medical assistance afterwards.

Well, we're certainly happy to help keep things from potentially becoming a little too stale. [...That must be his odd way of saying he doesn't mind providing company so that it's not so empty at the Pokemon house. (He'll have to figure out what to do about his friend Iris though once she arrives later, provided whether or not she insists on stubbornly sleeping outside...but that's neither here nor there right now.)]

Nonetheless, we'll be expecting your arrival tomorrow so that you can try our samples for the boxed lunches.

[It's fast-forwarding time! ~~After a momentary distraction in the form of Pokemon X&Y~~ Cilan has prepared a few samples for Shikamaru to try once he arrives at House 11--some onigiri, some sushi, teriyaki, two variations of soups, and two bentos that have been arranged to offer a few of the previous selections so that Shikamaru can see how they might be presented in bento form. He's double-checking to make sure everything is just right, but he's pretty confident that they'll be met with approval.

Hope you've got an empty stomach, because there are plenty of things for you to try here!]

Hello Shikamaru! Please, come inside! [He steps aside, allowing Shikamaru to enter. He'll also lead the way to the kitchen once the door is shut.] Can we offer you something to drink while you're here?

[Tea, soda, name it, we probably have it that we can provide it with the samples he made.]

Hey. [He greets Cilan with a grin, then steps inside. Not wanting to be rude, he takes him up on that offer. It helps that he actually is thirsty.] Uh... Soda works, if you have it?

Sure! [Gold is likely not as much of a tea-drinker as Cilan is, so they've got soda as well as a few other types of drinks here. Once he steps inside the kitchen, he busies himself with procuring a cold soda for Shikamaru to take. (We'll likely have to remember to stock more Mt. Dews in the near future since Masaomi is also something of a frequent house guest here too)]

So, what would you like to try first? I made a little of everything you suggested--onigiri, sushi, teriyaki, and two types of soups as well as two bento boxes that you can take a look at as well, so you can see if you like how they're arranged or if you'd like to make any alterations.

[Cilan is a wizard, he decides. This might just because it takes him an hour to find the motivation to make a sandwich.]
