[The voice that addresses the journal is crisp, albeit a little tired sounding. To those who know him, however, Shikamaru might actually sound like he's in surprisingly good spirits.]

I don't know how many of you have chosen to explore the world out there; think I might've missed a few who left already. If there's anyone in the village thinking about it, I encourage you to go. You'll have to watch out for Natural Shifts, but it's a great opportunity, and if you can help Romaeus while you're at it, that'd be ideal.

To anyone who'll be staying, however, I got a favor to ask. When we left our current time, I brought along some non-perishables that can be added to the food supplies available from hunting and the harvests. I'd like to gather some reliable volunteers to ration it between the village and those leaving to explore. Either hit me up on the journals, or come find me at House 12 if you're interested.

[Sorry to Masaomi and Hilda if anyone takes him up on that while you're around, the house is just easy okay. For him.]

There was a crude one at that meeting [which is why he's asking, something about that one struck a chord in him], but I haven't been able to find one asking around. Not sure how much they've surveyed for themselves.

I was hoping they had more beyond that one, but wishful thinking I suppose. I'll spread the word with my travel companions. The more notes and information we can write down and map out the better.

Iron bamboo sounds pretty interesting [and not just because her roommates come from a world where iron bamboo is used] so I thought I'd stick around here and try to collect some. Maybe spot a unicorn too. But the continent southeast of us sounds interesting too, maybe try to find some moon stones in the mountains.

[Shikamaru whistles.] That's ambitious. Heh. It's been a while since I've been to Sirry Crags, but that place was huge.

It'll really come down to time and travel arrangements, but I would like to see more.

Any tips for the place? Things to watch out for?

Lotta snow. There was a river too, going right through the mountain. I remember it being weird, actually. I asked a retainer once about it and she said they've never been able to find an identifiable source.

That does sound weird. [A source underground? Snow melt? Some kind of hidden lake? Magic? Who knew in this world.] But it gives us a possible source of water to work with.

Any wildlife in the area? Even bringing supplies, food is always a valid concern.

I didn't see as many, but every time we were up there we were headed to Cultist camps, or that railway. Chances are there'll be more animals in the past, with it less settled.
