023 -- [Accidental Post]

[Earlier, when looking through his father’s book for the first time in several months, Shikamaru found some pictures he’d never seen before being used as bookmarks. It was… nostalgic, to say the least.

He finds another bookmark to replace them; puts the photos in a drawer to look at later. Because haha, he knows how this works, right? He leaves them out, and somehow his journal accidentally records it. Yeah. Hell no. He’s smarter than that and doesn’t leave his journal anywhere near them. On top of that, he takes it with him when he leaves to assist with a chakra training lesson. Crisis averted!

Guess what he sees when he opens up his journal two hours later.

Where’s the nearest wall. He needs to beat his head softly against it while he attempts to figure out how this happened. Feel free to action it up when he’s back at CH1 too, if you like.]

Not in chess, no. Besides the king and the queens, there are pawns. Those are like small soldiers.

Then there's the castle piece, called the rook, and... I don't know what the other piece is supposed to look like, but it's called a bishop.

What is it, is there shrimp? Shrimp and money?

[Maybe if she leans forward and smushes her face up against the journal she'll somehow be able to see what he's looking at.]

There's an important looking note here that says if you guess the last letter in my name and get it right, everything will be free once more.

But I don't know, it sounds like a troublesome task for a little kid, even if they'd give you a clue...

[Except you know, this is like a game show now so it's not that easy. Gotta build the suspense with a long, dramatic pause here!

He may also be drumming his fingers against the edge of a table, for a mock drum roll.]

[THIS IS GETTING PRETTY INTENSE.]

[SHE WANTS HER SHRIMP NOW DAMN IT.]

Victory dance. Right now. Yotsuba gets up and starts flapping her arms around all over the place as she makes a lap of her room.]

[Victory lap done with she flops to the floor, crawls back over to the journal and carefully reads out the name she guessed all by herself.]
