endgames: (No seriously)

024 -- [Action]

[It is on the fourth day of the experiment that Shikamaru leaves his apartment. Free of those stupid thought bubbles, this should've been a good thing. But as he walked, it felt like he was being drawn to something. A weird breeze picked up. The sky literally became overcast. Ominous shit, man. 8|

It's only when he walked past a tree that he saw it. His old foe thought long gone when he defenestrated it months ago.]

Oh, not this again-

May 27 - June 1

[For these four days of the experiment, around the village there is a toaster ~magic lamp~ waiting to be found. In that tree! On that bench! On top of that fountain! How did it get in all these weird places? NO IDEA. But pick it up, and BAM. SMOKE PELLETS, and you suddenly have your very own genie (barefoot, with an outfit something like this). Careful what you wish for.]

Can we make this quick?

[[ ooc: So Shikamaru's fairy-taled into a genie again! You get three (3) wishes, and he will be 'granting' them as literally as possible.

As per the guidelines of the old fairy-tale event: nothing wished for is actually real. It will look like it is! But your character is either interacting with something imaginary or a mundane object: like thinking they picked up a magic lamp when it's really a toaster. Wish to be a sorcerer? While effected it's like COOL YOU HAVE MAGIC POWERS. Only not really, you were just pointing at things.

TL;DR: it's one giant game of pretend. Have fun. 8|b ]]

Honestly? At the moment, I'd probably do it just to annoy you. [ Second order of business, and obviously much more important, a flat expression for the attitude. 8|

... and yet still less of a prick than Sherlock tends to be. Not that that's a great benchmark to judge all interactions on, honestly, because he'd let people slide by with a hell of a lot using it. But he's taking into account the fact that the kid's been turned into a genie and stuffed in a magic toaster lamp today, which he obviously is not a fan of. Not many people would be fans of it. ]
But if wishing to forfeit the whole mess works, I'm fine with that.
consultsdetective: (why don't you just cooperate?)

Thought so. [ Film-watching: 1, real magic: 0. ] Probably better that you do while you're stuck in this. Makes it harder to get taken advantage of. God knows staying out of trouble isn't exactly on the table anymore. [ A beat. Okay, okay, maybe it makes him old and sticking his nose in business that's not exactly his, but he's giving Geniemaru some parting advice. Can't be tamed. ] You should still try to stay out of it anyway. I expect it's one of those sorts of weeks.

Got a bit of an attitude problem there, don't you? Might wanna try toning it down while you're stuck popping out of corners dressed like that. [ TUT TUT, you punk.

Oh, wait, right. Have a little half-bow and a finger wiggling gesture. They're just the natural genie-handling instinct. ]
I wish to forfeit the rest of my wishes. You're free to go until someone else trips over you or things settle down again. Don't get yourself punched in the meantime.

[ No seriously, don't. He's not that mean :| ]
consultsdetective: (why do I let him onto crime scenes?)

[ It's okay, they've exchanged something far more important. The brofist of spirits. ]

Yeah, likewise. [ Not really but whatever man, manners. ] Here's hoping for a fast week.
