Hi. [The journal feed starts unceremoniously.] Noticed the village is getting back into the swing of things. Either that or those who are sulking are doing so more quietly. Good luck with that, whichever.

[Through the afternoon and evening, Shikamaru can be found in various places around the village: digging through things in shops, searching through grass and shrubs and so on. He hasn't been around the village much in the last two days, busy elsewhere with his deer.

Now it almost seems like he's making up for it. One minute you might walk past him digging through the trash behind a building, only to go in to find he's inside already (probably asking if the place has a lost and found). Someone's busy.]

One of the stupidest sort of person you will ever meet.

Bullies are the lowest class of this type. Yet you can deal with most by having good friends, and not paying them mind at all.

Wow, Shikamaru-kun really knows a lot about this sort of thing...

Can it be that you had to deal with a lot of bullies before?

School's are full of 'em. They left me alone for the most part - and my friend too, when he listened to me. Chouji had a lot of bully problems before we were friends.

[As did Naruto. ...but you couldn't really solve Naruto's worse than bully problems.]

Oh no.. [ she does genuinely sound a little worried, despite the blankness in her tone as she says it. ]

That sounds.. sad. I'm glad they left Shikamaru-kun alone though, but.. they must've hurt a lot of other people, that's sad..

It is. [He can agree pretty openly with that. It's usually the nice guys he's seen bully. And it makes him figure Kotomi fits in the same groove of people who don't deserve that.]

That's why it's important to have fun anyway, you know? To make friends. You can't be sad all the time.

Hmm, I like having friends. I never had a lot of them back home until only a little bit before I came here, so I was a little lonely when I first arrived.. [ although she soon met some of said friends here a little bit after. ] But now I made a whole lot of wonderful friends here. Like Shikamaru-kun.

Heh. We should really talk in person more sometime...

[It still surprises him, that there are some in Luceti who've warmed up to him like that. Less with Kotomi - she's said something similar a couple times before - but it always reminds him.

By what he does with his time, he should make up for it.]

[ Oh, now this is something she likes. Or it must be from the way her tone perks up just a little in her own blank way, like some excited puppy. Just more moderate. ] He would?

We've only met the one time, right? [Thought bubble thing.] Journals aren't that great for having real conversation. Always better to talk face-to-face.

But I would never mind meeting up with Shikamaru-kun again. We're friends, so.. friends being together in person is always fun, isn't it..?
