[Through the afternoon and evening, Shikamaru can be found in various places around the village: digging through things in shops, searching through grass and shrubs and so on. He hasn't been around the village much in the last two days, busy elsewhere with his deer.

Now it almost seems like he's making up for it. One minute you might walk past him digging through the trash behind a building, only to go in to find he's inside already (probably asking if the place has a lost and found). Someone's busy.]

Nope. [ He's never mentioned Jane to her. ] Adele, Gregor, me, Elicia, Rapunzel. I think he also gets along with the younger Loki, though, and he's mentioned "Lady Saori", who I do not know.

Nice people, for the most part. Not overly dangerous, aside from maybe this Saori person, or the influences they hold.]

I think at least part of why he reacted to being attacked so...much...was because Elicia was there. [ Not all of it, but some. She's not sure if that's a good or bad thing, though. ] Rapunzel met him the same way I did, and we did the scavenger hunt together. Gregor's rooming with him. Adele fixed him up after that thing happened, but he knew her before then.

[ She pauses, then shakes her head, before remembering they're on voice. ] I don't think I've ever heard it before.

[To be fair, HE BARELY HAS TO TRY. The thing she says about Elicia though. If anything, he has a worse opinion of Barton, despite having not met him.

He sticks to the topic he brought up.]

It means you have to look beneath the surface. And when you think you know everything about that person, you dig deeper.

[ SADLY TRUE. She's getting better about blabbing secrets - i.e. she wouldn't hand this list to, say, Tony - but she'd probably tell them to Shikamaru anyway. ]

Because there's always something left to know? [ That idea, at least, she understands. She's never content in knowing everything about anyone. That's half of why she asks so many questions. ]

That's right. Even friends can lie to you - not always maliciously, but it's something to watch out for. If you end up thinking Loki is a nice enough guy to hand with, that's fine, but always remember that.

Opinion, mostly. You seem to get along okay with Steve, but to put it bluntly he was biased. No offense meant for him.

[He would be the same with Akatsuki, and has been. Just less publicly.]

I think anyone who was in their war probably has that sort of thought, though.

...Even though Tarrlock didn't do anything while he was here, I still didn't like that. And if Amon were here, I think I'd probably - [ What? ] Not be really good about being fair and I dunno how I'd think about second chances, and I think that might be a bad thing 'cause I should be able to do that for people from my world if I'm going to do it for people from other worlds, but I don't want him to ever come here so I don't ever have to think about it but I think about it anyway because I don't think I'm a very nice person if I want other people to try to get along even if bad things happened and if I can't do the exact same thing but then I don't think Katara or grandpa would let me near him and I wouldn't want to anyway and [ all on one breath. She's rambling. ]
