Hi. [The journal feed starts unceremoniously.] Noticed the village is getting back into the swing of things. Either that or those who are sulking are doing so more quietly. Good luck with that, whichever.

[Through the afternoon and evening, Shikamaru can be found in various places around the village: digging through things in shops, searching through grass and shrubs and so on. He hasn't been around the village much in the last two days, busy elsewhere with his deer.

Now it almost seems like he's making up for it. One minute you might walk past him digging through the trash behind a building, only to go in to find he's inside already (probably asking if the place has a lost and found). Someone's busy.]

Yeah. Big accident. But no taking it back now, I suppose.

[He makes a "hmm"ing noise, then heads for the nearest dumpster.

Incidentally, it's the one Shikamaru was just going through. Oops.]

[Well he wasn't completely finished!]

Can you reach all of that?

Yeah, m'fine. [Especially since he's just gonna hoist himself over the side of it so he can search from the inside out.

He'll dig around, pushing small piles of garbage over and over other piles. What he lacks in method, he more than makes up for in enthusiasm.]

[Sounds legit. Shikamaru will return to his own pile.]

Hand me anything you need cleared out of the way.

[He nods, but it should be clear after a while that Zoro's perfectly content with his plan to pile everything into one corner.

In fact, his only problem here is that his hands are getting messy, and the deeper he gets the more his sword dips into the surrounding garbage. Zoro straightens up, stares at his dirty hands, and not-so-delicately wipes them off on his pants.

He pulls Wadou off his back, then holds it out to Shikamaru by its strap.] Can you put this over there? [He points to a clean patch on the wall.] I don't want it t'get dirty.
