Appointment's Post II

[endgames]

This post is for threading with Shikamaru anytime and anywhere. It can be used for action tags or the ping feature on journals (voice or written) to get in contact with him for personal conversations. This will be used primarily for anything that you don't feel like would take place in a regular log or post.

[Shikamaru tilts his chin up at him and steps inside, then checks the button panel with hands in pockets. Looks like they're both going down.] Yo.

Hey. [Nice weather we're having, huh?]

Going somewhere?

[Action, 2/2]

Aa. I have work to do.

[He says this with the usual drawl, watching the numbers scroll by as the elevator moves.]

[...Oh, why not.] Need help?

[He snorts.] Sure. You can help me set up the freezers.

[It's a little sarcastic. Setting up the freezers sorta means busting some walls, so it's going to be more troublesome than anything. He doesn't think it's a job anyone wants. 8|]

Alright. [You're making the mistake of comparing Silver to a reasonable person, Shikamaru.]

[Reason has nothing to do with it when slacker is thy motto.]

...seriously?

I don't have anything better to do. [Free manual labor, Shikamaru. Cherish it.]

[He strokes the bottom of his chin in thought.]

...your Pokemon come with the deal?

[Hm. Now he's getting ideas. The elevator stops and he steps out.]

All right. Follow me, then.

Lead the way. [SILVER joined the party!]

[And so they went to GOLDENROD the town square, or at least not far from it. The building is right across from the Item Shop actually. There's some shelves and furniture set-up, but a big space has been cleared to work on one side of the building. Shikamaru drops off his power tools on a counter.]

...What's this for, anyway? [Put him to work whenever you want, Shikamaru. He'll keep following you and/or stand around awkwardly until further notice.]

We're turning this place into a convenience store.

[As a cover for the intelligence agency that'll be in the basement.

Shikamaru stops by the wall. Up close, you can probably see the lines drawn against the wall; large rectangles, like doors.]

This side is going to be where we put the refrigerated stuff.

[Action, 2/2]

[tsuntrader]

[...Nod. Alright. Convenience store.

He'll ask later.] Where's the fridge?

[Action, 2/2]

[endgames]

[He jerks his thumb.] Behind this wall.

[Action, 2/2]

[tsuntrader]

[Right.

...Is there a door to "behind this wall," or does he have to make one?]

[Action, 2/2]

This building used to be a pizza joint. The room back there is where the ingredients were kept, so it'll serve best for our purposes.

[And standing in front of one of the drawn rectangles, Shikamaru kneels.]

If you could get Feraligatr... He'd probably be well-suited for this.

[Action, 2/2]

[tsuntrader]

[He considers it for a moment... Before shaking his head and looking at Sneasel.

The two of them glance at each other for a moment before nodding.] Step aside.

[Action, 2/2]

[endgames]

[Darker than usual because he was preparing to use a jutsu with it, Shikamaru's shadow momentarily settles and fades.

He doesn't move just yet, but he does look over his shoulder again. Oh? And what's your plan?]

[Action, 2/2]

[tsuntrader]

[Sneasel hops up on Silver's shoulder as Silver steps closer to the wall; he then cuts along the line with his claws (screw you wall my claws are cooler than you) and hops off as he reaches the bottom sides and no longer needs the support of Silver's height. It's a nice and clean cut.

The two of them then step back for a moment, nod, and the piece of the wall cleanly gives in to their teamwork- Silver slams his weight into it while Sneasel jumps up and kicks it.

Silver and Sneasel: 1

Wall: 0

(Quick brofist goes to Sneasel.)]

[Action, 2/2]

[endgames]

[Shikamaru smirks, since moved and now standing to have given them room.]

Show offs.

[But it's good work. That wall is pretty thick, so he's impressed Sneasel's claws were enough to cut it.]

I'll handle the cutting for the rest. We need to make three more doors close together here without damaging the wall's support.

[Which is not a jab at Sneasel, just insurance for them. Might as well put it on the guy who'll be running this place, right?

Well either way, he makes the bird seal and his shadow splits into three separate tendrils that rise off the ground and begin to cut along the dotted lines in the wall. It's a pretty smooth cut.

Once that's done, he gestures back to Sneasel. All yours again.]

[Action, 2/2]

[It makes sense. Shikamaru's cutting is precise... And done with his really cool shadows that are apparently stronger than everything ever. (If something goes wrong, it's his fault, not theirs.)

But if they're going for three walls, lets out Murkrow and Feraligatr to help out.

Sneasel kicks his wall down again, no problem. Murkrow headbutts his wall down, again without a problem.

...Feraligatr makes sure not to punch the wall too hard. It's tough being Feraligatr.]

[Magic gold star for you, Feraligatr. Bless you for being a controlled boss.

All of them, really. Shikamaru's shadow pulls back to itself, and he's grinning widely when they finish.]
