Appointment's Post II

[endgames]

This post is for threading with Shikamaru anytime and anywhere. It can be used for action tags or the ping feature on journals (voice or written) to get in contact with him for personal conversations. This will be used primarily for anything that you don't feel like would take place in a regular log or post.

Well, yeah. You have wings, and you can fly. [Therefore he should clearly want to spend as much time racing through the air as possible. Or at least he should. Then again, his wings are black, and that leaves Zatanna feeling less than enthused about this guy.]

[He snorts a little, not malicious but amused.] I have feet too. Doesn't mean I wouldn't get tired of chasing something if it went on long enough.

Please tell me you aren’t honestly tired. That’d be just sad. [He’d only been flying after the book for a few minutes, for crying out loud.] Besides, walking and flying aren’t even close to being the same thing. Walking is boring. Being able to move through the air is so…freeing!

[And as her green wings would suggest, freedom is important to Zatanna.]

Getting out of bed is troublesome enough for me. All I wanted was to watch the clouds.

[A roundabout way of agreeing with her there.]

…Wow. That sounds really, really dull. [Seriously, she’s not impressed here. She’s actually getting a little bored just talking about it.] That’s really all you do? Cloud watch?

[Wow, wow, he does other things! Not that her attitude makes him any eager to share it, especially in this scenario.]

Rest is not idleness. [He angles his body mid-air, so that he's in the same position (on his back) as he was when she encountered him. This time he looks at the sky instead of his book.] To lie on one's back and watch the clouds is by no means waste of time.

[Uh huh. Does he know what she's hearing now? It sounds a lot like blah blah blah this is boring blah.]

Well, you do that then. I'm going to go find something entertaining now.

Glad someone can. [He mutters that bitterly, considering that just before she interrupted him he spotted Sokka talking about killing people in John's suggestion box of an entry.] Off you go, then.
