Appointment's Post II

[endgames]

This post is for threading with Shikamaru anytime and anywhere. It can be used for action tags or the ping feature on journals (voice or written) to get in contact with him for personal conversations. This will be used primarily for anything that you don't feel like would take place in a regular log or post.

[Shikamaru bites deep into the center of the apple, turning his head to the side until it's in-line with his shadow. As it becomes thicker, stretching down the tree to mix with the shadows on the ground near the shore below, he spits into it.

The apple seeds vanish into it like into fog, only to pop out the other end from the ground, shooting to bounce off her head.]

[Oh, that's it. Sona's bipolar-like nature enrages her even further than she'd normally be. With a large, overhead sweeping motion she wills the water from the lake to produce a large jet to spray Shikamaru in the back. She intends to finally knock him off the branch.]

[endgames]

[He's not a ninja for nothing. Tossing the apple in the air, he tips himself backwards off his branch before grabbing it in the fall to swing himself back around and up high. Shikamaru lands on his feet two branches up, catching the apple back out of the air as the water takes the leaves off the branch he was sitting on just a moment before.]

Tit for tat. [He waves the apple, with a sing-song voice.] You know I can't let that slide, right?

[Not that he's going to stand still long enough for her to redirect that jet of water back at him, or something worse. He jumps to the other side of the tree, out of sight.]

[installing]

[She makes the jet of water circle high in the tree (but not too high because the excess leaves would hinder her move). Once the water is circling the tree she releases it. If Shikamaru stays in the immediate area he'll be effectively rained on.]

Oh, shut up.

[endgames]

[And that he is, frowning up in annoyance at the shower before shaking his hair dry. He should probably just hide in a shadow--

Actually, there'd be shadows in the lake, right?]

You're the one yapping.

[And okay, let's try this. Feeling the shadows at the bottom of the lake, he opens them up to begin sucking up the water, like a drain.]

[installing]

You're the one who disturbed my quiet in the first-

[She feels something is wrong. Slowly she turns around, and stares horrified at what's happening.]

What are you doing?!

[endgames]

Can't splash me if you don't have water, right?

[Aaaand there. Another moment, and he feels when he's got what he wanted. Everything's set up.]

[installing]

What did you do with all that water? Put it back!

[endgames]

Why should I?

[Suck suck suck. He's hoping she'll try and stop him, but if not this is entertaining in itself.]

[installing]

Because I said so!

[And then she tries pulling the water from where it's being sucked in at.]

[endgames]

[Just what he wanted. While she's good and distracted trying to take it back, Shikamaru throws a fish at her.

...yes, a fish. He sucked up several in the dark portal, so he just spits it back out of that at her.]
