[endgames]

This post is for threading with Shikamaru anytime and anywhere. It can be used for action tags or the ping feature on journals (voice or written) to get in contact with him for personal conversations. This will be used primarily for anything that you don't feel like would take place in a regular log or post.

[She's surprised by that. Her first thought is she's somehow offended him-- and then the relief comes, he's putting distance between them.

In that case, perhaps she understands.]

[She does - nailed his reasoning right off the bat with that, she did. For that reason, he's grateful too that she doesn't ask.

He shifts a pack he brought with him in his hands - one he'd stored potatoes in when he first got here. Taking it from his shoulder, he removes one before settling it back, tossing it at her hands. Before checking to see if she catches or not, he's turned back around and taking to the sky.]

[Makie catches it deftly, but he's gone before she can even thank him.

It's probably just as well. But as she glances down at the potato, Makie can't help but feel a little relieved for other reasons-- that it's possible to end meetings with the dark-winged ones amicably. She doesn't have to give into the voice within.

She gives an unseen bow in the direction he flew off in, and then continues on to shelter for the evening.]
