How often have you run into people in Luceti that you personally knew already, back where you're from?
[It's something he's been wondering about idly these past few days. In the last week, five people have shown up from his world. Most of the people here now he's met face-to-face - hell, went to school with - back home, sans Itachi. And he'd at least heard of him. He knows it's not unusual for people you know to show up here, but now he's beginning to wonder how frequently it happens.
It also makes him wonder who else might show up here someday. Not just from his world.]

Not for the first time, a certain list comes to mind. He went to the trouble of updating it over the weekend, but there's still more to be done. At this point, he's not even sure if it's worth the risk keeping the list around, but until he makes a solid decision he's gotta keep at it.
Which also means looking more into these names, as well as some that aren't on it. Not all at once - he doesn't have the time. But he'll start with something odd he heard on the journals once, before he was kidnapped in July.]

[After he's finished his to-do-list for the day, Shikamaru makes his way to the Seventh Heaven for a particular game of shogi. It's only later on that he catches on to what the day is - possibly by being suspiciously informed several times B| - not that the date means much to him.
As always, though, it's a good reminder of what the day after is. And that he should get on that. How troublesome.]

A while back, I came into possession of a certain list. At the time, the guy I picked it up from said you'd be a good person to talk to about the names on it, and things that might need to be added.

The names still in Luceti are probably the most concerning at the moment... but again, anything you have to say'll be helpful.

She comes from the same world as Noel Vermillion. And she's ... heavily fixated on a couple of people from that world. Noel being one, Ragna being another. To the point that she's been known to attack their friends for... being friends, I guess. She's also extended that same fixation to Yuber, that I can tell. They're friends.
She's launched several attacks on villagers with intent to kill, and she isn't stable in the slightest.

He doesn't tense. But his eyes widen, briefly, before he crosses his arms behind his head and continues talking in the same drawl.]
What kind of attacks? Wide-scale? You mentioned people from her world, but were the ones on the villagers at random, or...?
[He knows she helped attack Nami alongside Yuber on that draft. Law had explained some. But besides the people she mentioned, he doesn't know who else has had a bad run-in with her.]

To my knowledge, she hasn't attacked on a wide scale-- just individuals. Though some of her attacks are so indiscriminate that she's injured bystanders before.
[She doesn't know Law filled him in, so she bluntly shares the information herself.] When I first met her, she attacked Noel-- and I got caught in the crossfire. I believe she's attacked Noel and Ragna again since then-- and she's fought Jin. ...I'll get to Jin. And she made threats against me a couple times just for my ties.
It wasn't really until she got close to Yuber that she got more unstable. Yuber's an enemy of everyone. [...bar one or two people whose surname we shall not disclose.] And so everyone is an enemy of his. Last year, he picked a fight with two villagers and died at their hand-- and Nu tried her level best to slaughter them in response. And earlier this year, the two of them came close to killing me.
I don't think she'll attack people randomly, but it doesn't take much at all for her to fixate on you as a target.

...hm. [He wonders if there'd be some way to separate the two.]
How would you rank either of them, on a power scale? I have a good idea of where Yuber measures up [there's been several accounts and notes throughout the journals], but I haven't heard a lot about Nu.

[She pauses to think on that, and gives a shrug.] She's tough. Most of the attacks I've seen her use are blades-- a whole bunch of swords, just coming from nowhere. If you're fast on your feet, it's not so bad, but you end up being on the defensive a lot. She's vulnerable to lightning.

And the first thing that comes to mind is Mu.]

Other than a few comments here and there, it's a pretty straight-forward conversation. He mostly interjects only when he's trying to get an idea of how dangerous a person might be if it sounds like she might have an idea of it.
One of these times involves a name she brings up that isn't on the list at all, when they're talking about Izaya.]
