[Through the afternoon and evening, Shikamaru can be found in various places around the village: digging through things in shops, searching through grass and shrubs and so on. He hasn't been around the village much in the last two days, busy elsewhere with his deer.

Now it almost seems like he's making up for it. One minute you might walk past him digging through the trash behind a building, only to go in to find he's inside already (probably asking if the place has a lost and found). Someone's busy.]

[That's just fine. He'll wait where he is. ...And after a moment of consideration, he'll let out Sneasel. Come here, buddy. If nothing else, he without a doubt knows about his Pokémon and how important they are to him.]

Well first things first - cat. Shikamaru returns with a can of cat food and pops the lid open, offering it up right to his side. Kenta feasts on it without a glance, thanks very much. But he doesn't hiss when Shikamaru tries to pet him, so he'll count that as getting back on his good side.]

[Good Shikamaru. Good making amends with your cat. ...Granted, he's not sure what happened, but whatever.

Not much man, just enjoying Silver not being a dumbass anymore. ...Well, not as much of a dumbass.]

[And instead of explaining that proper, Shikamaru will just go to his room to get it. He brings them back in a wooden box. And opens it up.]

[Shikamaru dumps on the table-- not too loudly, so as to be nice to the cat. He's not especially enthusiastic (or what counts as enthusiastic by his standards) but he's making an effort to get into it.]

There's two ways to do this. Legit vs. Classic.

Legit, you make an attempt to play by the book. Divide up the pieces, play by turns, make sure numbers line up.

[He puts two dominoes down 5/7 and 2/7, and lines them up so the sevens match.]

Classic... [Well, he doesn't say anything. Just starts picking up dominoes and balancing them carefully upright.]

No permanent fix, but Shikamaru likes to think he's helping.]

[It's helpful enough. The best way to deal with things involving Silver is to distract him, after all. To make him "move forward."

But yeah we totally have a well constructed gigantic domino maze fortress chain thing. This is pretty cool.]
